Lightyears A/S was established in May 2005 and is based on the former lighting company Horn Belysning A/S. The first collection was launched at Copenhagen Furniture Fair in May 2005. Lightyears A/S resides in a dynamic business area at Aarhus Harbour, where marketing and product development are handled by 11 dedicated employees.
Lightyears A/S develops and markets design lamps for the design- and quality conscious consumer as well as for the contract market. The collection is both functional, progressive and timeless and gives a high value for money. Lightyears cooperate with several of Danish design's most innovative and recognized designers like Knud Holscher, Jørn Utzon, Kasper Salto og Thomas Sigsgaard, Hans Sandgren Jakobsen, Strand & Hvass, Cecilie Manz, Halsskov and Dalsgaard, Morten Voss, Mads Odgaard and the Japanese designer Hidenori Kuge.
It is our vision to become Scandinavia's preferred supplier of contemporary designed quality lighting.

Lightyears does not put just any lamp into production. The most important requirement is a fusion of form and function, and that the lamp provides optimum illumination. Every single detail must have its own purpose, and not exist purely for the sake of design.
